Dr. Jagannath Pati is a distinguished leader in child protection and public policy with over 25 years of experience advancing governance reforms in India’s child welfare system. As Registrar at the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, he led a nationwide social audit of nearly 7,000 Child Care Institutions, strengthening accountability and safeguards. At the Central Adoption Resource Authority, he promoted ethical adoption practices and pioneered India’s digital foster care and adoption platform. A Fulbright–Nehru Senior Research Fellow, he has shared India’s child protection innovations globally and continues to advocate family-based care for vulnerable children.
